The Quays

The Quays is Greater Manchester’s waterfront situated near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal. It was originally the site of Salford Docks which was one of the two sections of the Manchester Docks, closed in 1982. Officially rebranded to Salford Quays the redevelopment began in 1985 and became one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in England.
