The ideal image embraces the convergence of light, moment, composition and detail. And when everything is coordinated, the result is an expressive picture.

My name is Philip Bond and I live in Beinwil am See in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. My first ever memory in the field of photography is my grandfather showing me the art of photo development in his attic dark room when I was about six years old. Watching the previously captured image slowly appearing on the paper in the development tray, apparently out of nowhere, was a truly magical moment. Still these days I find that photography is enchanting, not in the physical sense as then, but the magic lies in the uniqueness of each image. For if the expression of the image captivates the viewer, then it is still able to replace the famous thousand words, despite today’s visual overstimulation.

Photography has always taken a special place in my life; it is my fascination and passion. I love to travel near and far exploring the world through the lens both in digital and analogue formats. I strive to capture the magic in each image, working with the challenges of light, forms, perspective and composition.

The images in the galleries «black & white» and «colour» are available for sale, either as prints in various formats or originals. Prices vary depending upon format, requirement and usage.
